ITV o'clock.
Which means starting five minutes later than advertised and finishing around eight minutes late.

knowing ITV's love for whacky camera angles, they'll probably show the matches from side on or overhead.

Re: Live cricket on UK Terrestrial Television in 2010
The only half decent thing ITV have ever done is F1 coverage, and they even screwed that up by managing to put adverts on every time something actually happened
"And while you were away watching corporates trying to hawk you their bullshit, there has been a 10 car pile up/a fire in the pits"
Error.

Tis true. Who can ever forget their car crash coverage of the various rugby world cups, where they even nearly managed to miss the moment England were presented with the damn trophy, and then promptly finished the programme and buggered off, when you might just have thought that winning a World Cup might be worthy of more than 5 minutes "analysis" at the end.

Gotta get the X Factor in of course, who cares about world cups??? Or Celebrity, get me the fk out of here. or Strictly Come Moshing/Moshing On Ice (I would actually watch the last 2 options though)
I am covering my arse because I'm not sure which channels these programs are on - one of them must be on ITV.

They'll probably have Jim Rosenthal as anchor to display his abundant knowledge of the game.

I met him once, when I was a mere kid. I short-changed him in a shop. His voice really is that gravelly.

I met him once - boring as hell, kept wittering on about some snotty-nosed ankle-biter who short-changed him.

Only 'famous' person I've ever met. And he is below Z-list on the celebrity status. And I gave him rabies from a horrific bite to the ankle.

The precedent was set, in some other thread. Forum legislation states that whoever does it first gets the trademark. Turns out that I wasn't the first, so I'd better shut up.
I reckon she's a BCCI 'plant' to make sure our coverage is as shambolic as every Indian Cricket broadcast, with unprofessional production, slapdash editing and jingoistic commentators who say very little apart from the odd soundbite and say every shot is 'one of the best I've seen'.

Re: Live cricket on UK Terrestrial Television in 2010
I recall Mandira Bedi from the 1996 World Cup.
So the mind boggles to think that she has been in this industry for at least 14 years and picked up seemingly no insight whatsoever into the game. That's actually quite an impressive achievement.
Plus she needs better criteria for supporting a team and a player than merely "Cor, that MS Dhoni, I would, you know".
