What a sad little clique this has all become...skully wrote:Well, a good mate of yours has been sooking her arse off of late. She's been happy to slag a certain poster off, but not so good if it's returned in spades. And she has had a few supporters suggesting the return behaviour has been overly nasty.
Perhaps all us non-elders should just leave you lot to it...

Viks has asked me to point out that he has not flounced off temporarily, but has quit permanently as a protest after "the Mods abused their powers" (his words) by changing his posts.

Damn, if I got the arse about something I didn't like i'd just leave. Leaving all these messages for others to pass on is incredibly drama queeny.

Yeah, I told him that. He's gone, so they can't upset him any more.

Practice what you preach, taips
Smerky, that could be said to a few here - they'll dish it out, but squeal like stuck pigs when you return fire.
I don't mean you BTW. Then there's the Monkey - he and I don't see eye to eye much, but at least he can take it as well as dish it out. So respect is due.

As a rule of thumb - those who depart with a flourish of PMs and flounces tend to return - those who just stop posting tend not to return.

Re: How will Vikas celebrate his 100th Birthday?
I'm a bit late on this soap opera so how well across The Story So Far am I? Vikas tries to play Forum Heavy about 23 divisions out of his league, he generates a Hindenburg of bluster and bullshit mixed with industrial-strength self-righteousness which is tolerated for far longer than anybody had to, and then when he finally sees sense and pulls out he tries to bung on a Shakespearean death scene but gets even further miffed when nobody GAF.
I think I've seen this one before. What was Vikas but just GD/MF/PB with the special curry sauce?

Re: How will Vikas celebrate his 100th Birthday?
Given that he's incapable of walking away from the forum forever, and is PMing people about his 'treatment' (of which there was never any actual proof, just his über-hysterical Shane Watson style crying) even though he's 'left' forever. He's still fair game.embee wrote:Instead of continuing to poke Vikas with a stick why dont we just ignore him ... Hes not the only person whos ever left the forum because he didnt like the treatment dished out to him
He's not on his own in that, but sometimes admitting you were wrong isn't a bad course of action.taipan wrote:Of course it might be a simple matter of giving it out and not being able to take it.

Odd that an Indian forumer finds solace in the cyber arms of one of the forum xenophobes.Rob I wrote:Viks has asked me to point out that he has not flounced off temporarily, but has quit permanently as a protest after "the Mods abused their powers" (his words) by changing his posts.

Well, except for the 'tolerated for far longer than anyone had to' bit, you're pretty close. I started asking him to state the specific details of the many posts he alleged were being changed, all morning, according to him, even though virtually nobody else was on the board at the time. He said he was changing them back as soon as they were being edited.Fred Nerk wrote:I'm a bit late on this soap opera so how well across The Story So Far am I? It was all bullshit because he didn't get a look in at the 'elder' thing, think along the lines of the 'post repping' thing, but writ much larger.

So Vikas is gone but is going to lurk to see what is said about him, and then send a PM sooking about it to Rob.
That's piss funny.

AW!
I see Robi has deregistered himself.
That's my best guess seeing he is now a guest.

Re: How will Vikas celebrate his 100th Birthday?
At long f*cking last!
It's been nearly three years since I suggested - for a laugh - we all ditch C4 for the temporary home I set up (as an example of how someone - not me - could easily create and run a permanent home for cricket hot-air-smiths and the socially moribund).
Three f*cking years!
Time for someone else to carry the torch (or put it out)...

Re: How will Vikas celebrate his 100th Birthday?
But for a forum to flourish, I think it needs more care and attention than merely just popping by once in a while to say hello whilst waiting for my porn to download.
I mean, that's worked out fine for a few years (!), but we haven't grown as a forum in the slightest. A proper "owner" might've put in the yards to get the word out, bring some new blood in, keep the thing ticking over.
All applications to take over the job of "proper" owner, to flamingbails@yahoo.com
Don't all rush at once...

Re: How will Vikas celebrate his 100th Birthday?
Oh, and I just won an auction on eBay at the 9th time of trying. F*ck, yeah!
Stupidly, I wasn't planning on bidding until I noticed that there were only a couple of minutes left and thought it couldn't hurt to throw a little "speculator" out there...
Anyone want to buy a used Hello Kitty double-ended dildo?
