Quote from Nasser on Cricinfo
"Are you telling me that this is the best Warwickshire can produce? I don't think so."
Nasser Hussain attacks Warwickshire's choice of picking Kolpak players such as 30-year-old Alfonso Thomas, as Lancashire raced to 100 without loss chasing 254
Thats what we bears fans have been thinking all season. Too many home grown players sitting on the sidelines in favour of these rent-a-journeyman dross weasels*.
*To use the phrase coined by a certain former Warwickshire player.

They should go back to the Dermot Reeve style days when half the team was high on something. They used to be good then.

Re: Quote from Nasser on Cricinfo
Double edged sword, though.
If it wasn't for counties giving so-called mercenary cricketers a game, Warwicks wouldn't have two of their better players, Trott and Ambrose, and England wouldn't have a couple of decent cricketers now qualified to represent them.

Re: Quote from Nasser on Cricinfo
Jebus, Adam Shantry looks top banana every time I see him, good bounce, heavy ball, OK pace, decent with bat. Yet he can't even get a glance when he bares his starfish right in front of the management. Heard he's a bit of a mouth. But that hasn't stopped many a player. FC average of 20 with the ball and List 'A' average of 20 early stages in his career, decent economy and S/R too... just suggests he needs to be given more chances.
Re: Quote from Nasser on Cricinfo
Aye, look at the saffie crap playing around the counties yet Stephen Finn England U19 player.... 6ft 8in bowling 84mph cannot get a Fc game

LET'S GO ON A F*CKING WITCH HUNT!!!
I've got two spare torches, some of you will have to bring some. We'll start off with Deon Kruis and work our way down to Jade Dernbach. We'll tank those forkers.

Well, that would just be plain racism. I think you're going to get this forum canned. Maybe we'll all make you JKLags.

What, you mean 'doing a Merlin'?

You're the lamest crime fighter in the world.
"That's naughty. I'm telling."
Use your wings, man. Hit him with them. They're really hard.

You'll be alright. Dello has a streak of apathy for someone who's done so much for the peeps. He needs someone to keep an eye out and who better than a Scottish miserly influence mixed with an Essex chav's eye for trouble, you're the perfect candidate for this side of the pond.

Nah, not without Karate. We fed off each other.

Gloucestershire have got Ben Edmondson - in their last televised Pro40, he was getting it down at nearly 90 mph - mind you he did go for plenty. Not playing tonight though.

Well yeah. 'In my day', they were called 'Pie Heads'. Or Pie 'eds.
If I didn't know JKL's real first name, I'd have 'gone for' Darren. Or Dahwwen as they'd say.
