Allie Camp can throw down a decent off-break and Mandy Man can give the duke a bit of a tweak.

Though I'm not so sure Marion Robert Morrison would've liked that much!

Nah, but it's a good thing Mandy doesn't play in Aus. I don't think tweaking Kookaburra's is legal.

Ah!
That would explain taccy's bailing out of Oz to start a kookaburra farm in Hokaido ...
They're relaxed about such things are the Japs!

1) Graeme Swann - England yep, 1
2) Daniel Vettori - New Zealand yep, 2
3) Shakib Al-Hasan - Bangladesh maybe ... or maybe Harris, 3 or 4
4) Nathan Hauritz - Australia ditto, 4 or 5
5) Harbhajan Singh - India finished, 10
6) Muralitharan - Sri Lanka finished, but still worth 9, if chucking is excused
7) Danish Kaneria - Pakistan 6
8 ) Suliemann Benn - West Indies ROFL, 8 at best
9) Paul Harris - South Africa way too low, 3 or 4 or 5
Mendis? 7
And you're finally off the Monty bandwagon?

"4) Nathan Hauritz - Australia ditto, 4 or 5"
Not on his performance in the last test - he'd be more like 14 or 15

I thought Ross Taylor may have dented Haurie's rating more than that.

Where does young McGain fit into this? I thought he looked promising in the Shield final.

I think the Aussies might rate him for his performances in the two series against them but really he's garbage. He's nothing more than a left handed Hauritz with a shitter hair cut

Re: Which Test nation has the best spinner (at the moment)?
Spang ... I was more interested in the sad fact that even DJ Smerk, the faithful Montay trumpeter, seems now to have abandoned Monty (who never looked remotely useful to this observer).
A left-handed Hauritz? Hauritz has shown signs of improvement, though, and he can bat. He's even able to pick the ball up from the ground at times without tripping himself up.
Still, I suppose Monty has a central contract, so we may see him in England colours again. Please bring him out at the end of the year.

Pakistan have some very fine spinners
Kaneria, Afridi, Rehman, Ajmal are all quite good
Raza Hasan is another upcoming talent who seems to be international class at the age of 17

Lardy, maybe a small mix up but i was talking about your relatively high opinion of Harris.

Monty's been dropped from the Central Contract list. I think there's a more than even chance that he'll be in Oz - mainly because you'll probably have only two lefties in your top six, unless Hughes (chortle) get's a gig, so we'll need someone to turn the ball the other way, if we decide to play two spinners (unlikely though until the SCG).
Our all-knowing, ever-wise-selectors seem to have lost faith in Rashid and the other young leggies on the scene are probably too callow to be picked.

Swann is good. Murali is Murali. Bhajji's turned shit in tests. Hauritz is shit. Harris is OK. The others aren't worth a mention.

You'd expect the 'top 10 spinners' (even if chosen by Smerky) to have a longer lifespan than 6 years, but they're ALL gone.
Completely revised list required.

Don't know about a list, but the best finger spinner would be a toss-up between Lyon, Ashwin and Herath.
Yasir's the best wristie but in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King.
