Should Headingley be bulldozed?
I'm starting a petition to have Headingley bulldozed. Anyone with me?

Re: Should Headingley be bulldozed?
Nah - Headingley does have some positives for Aust as well. 1930, 1934, 1948, 1989.
It is also the ground of our last defeat in World Cups. Bulldozing it might destroy the 12 year charm.

I was there in '81. Had tickets for The Open as well. Should've watched Nicklaus implode instead.

Re: Should Headingley be bulldozed?
Is Fromage around? This should be split off into its own thread 'should Headingley be bulldozed?'
Could even have a poll. Happy to write the question if the Cheese wants to split it off...

If you want to bulldoze that edifice called a pavillion, , which has been constructed out of the lego left over from the rebuild of Old Trafford - fine, but I think the pitch for this test should be preserved for posterity.

Very true! I dread to think what they're going to do to Edgbaston but i'd like to think the further south you are class and decency shall prevail

Fickle? We were robbed of a win there in 1975 due to vandalism, I was in England in 1981, and there have been plenty of other bad memories emanating from there. Tear it down, I say!PeterCS wrote:How fickle are cricket followers.
