Punter puts his faith in Hauritz

He always seems to give certain players his imprimatur. You're either in his camp or not.

I think you'll find that, with all the dross he's got at his disposal, he's casting his net far and wide to ensure that everybody is in his camp camp.
Didn't he sing porky Smiff's praises a mere 5 weeks ago?
'nuff said.

Not really Merls. Drunky has been quite reluctant to use or praise Smith. And he has been very much pumping Haurie's tyres up.
Haurie probably deserves his skipper's support after a very good summer at home, albeit against WI and Pak. However I just don't think Haurie has quite enough quality to trouble either India or England. I hope I'm wrong.

He troubled us enough in 2009. Would've been a good pick for the Oval

Wasn't he crocked for the Oval?
Living the victory kinda mists out unnecessary convict incidentals like Haurie being dropped (or crocked), punter spitting out bitten fingernails, Clarke massaging his crotch etc ...
Which reminds me ... where's that magnifico thread ....

I don't buy the whole "Haurie would've made a difference at The Oval" palaver. The fact is our bowlers did OK in T5 but the batsmen badly let us down in I1 when Broad has his little purple patch.

Hauritz bowled well v England, WI and Pakistan - surely it would be a bit rough not to regard him as our first choice spinner at this point?

Given the other dross on offer as Ozzie spin bowlers Hauritz is our best spinner ...probably about 8th best bowler all up though (if all fit)

Bloody hell, it'ssssss Leo.
Looking at the other thread - I guess a double degree is as good an excuse as any for missing out on Ramps 100 hundreds.
