Faith in humanity...
...restored
Well, in the Aus justice system at least.
"Serial sex attacker and murderer Adrian Ernest Bayley has lost his bid to reduce his 35-year minimum sentence for the rape and murder of Jill Meagher.
The appeal came just days after the anniversary of the killing of the 29-year-old ABC staffer in a Melbourne laneway.
In June, 41-year-old Bayley was sentenced to life in prison for killing Ms Meagher and 15 years jail for her rape.
Justice Geoffrey Nettle had granted him a minimum term of 35 years, finding his guilty pleas showed a "small degree of remorse".
In sentencing, Judge Nettle stated Bayley strangled Ms Meagher "because she would otherwise have called the police" or because of "some form of perverted pleasure" he derived from killing her."

Just WTF was his lawyer thinking (yes, I know "$$$") in lodging a ferkin appeal? The qunt was dead lucky to only get 35 years. I hope Bubba gives him a ripping work out.

Re: Faith in humanity...
I thought conservatives shared with Stalinists and fascists a fundamental lack in faith in humanity?
