skulls, you'll be delighted to hear that Riverina (according to the aec site) will not only stay safe Coalition, it'll be a Nationals retain (FFS) with an increased majority. 2PP appears to be about 69% for the Nats.
Might as well ahve gone in to vote and called tham all qunts on the ballot papers. Whoever says that every vote counts is full of sh!t.

The wags on Twitter were saying that McKew was on the phone to the ABC at 7.00pm asking for her old job back.JGK wrote:The People's Princess has conceded Bennelong.
Hopefully she'll go back to the ABC and roast that moron JA alive on Lateline. I mean, the guy was regularly outthought by McEnroe and Courier when the commentated together FFS.

Big Joe romped in with a massively increased majority. Bit of a weird speech but. Lots of reference to "if we don't win this time, we'll get 'em in 3 years".simkat wrote:Wore my lucky Blues shirt to the primary school this morning.
I was expecting to run the gauntlet of leaflet bearers but there was only one: a Liberal. The only posters adorning the entranceway were also Liberal. It was the weirdest experience.
The only other highlight of the day - and there probably won't be many more tonight - was catching Hockey on the teev this morning being interviewed outside his booth. God, I love that guy.

The AEC has all the wozzie seats in the undecided bracket at the moment ...I think the Libs will win at least 11 , but probably 12 or 13 which would get them even or in front of the ALP ...fingers crossed

Given that we'll be back to the polls in less than 18 months, if I'm still in this f*cking hick, uncharted backwater, I'll do it. Might even take in the coloured pencils like I did in the ACT gov't elections in the late 80s. I spent a good 20 minutes colouring in squares different colours before numbering the squares. Don't know if they counted my vote, but I had fun doing it.skully wrote:Hehehe, I would've loved you to have done that, taken a shot of your ballot paper on your mobile and posted it here.Zat wrote:skulls, you'll be delighted to hear that Riverina (according to the aec site) will not only stay safe Coalition, it'll be a Nationals retain (FFS) with an increased majority. 2PP appears to be about 69% for the Nats.

And - to everyone else at FB - I predicted a hung parliament as a possible result 3 MONTHS AGO.

Actually, I did write "Tony Abbott is a qunt" on my ballot paper. I should have taken a shot. Dammit.

And McKew on the teev right now. The bitch is f*cked, and not happy about it. Sadly, she's been out-celebritied. Yet Garrett will remain an MP.

Looks like ALP 74 max with maybe 2 friendly others in Bandt and Wilkie.
It's a weird thing - with the arch conservatives so close to power, we may actually end up with a bigger mining tax and an ETS sooner rather than later.
Still, if the Wozzie qunts only think for themselves then the Coalition might get to 73 and with their 3 friendly independents they could have a minority govt.
