Wore my lucky Blues shirt to the primary school this morning.

I was expecting to run the gauntlet of leaflet bearers but there was only one: a Liberal. The only posters adorning the entranceway were also Liberal. It was the weirdest experience.

The only other highlight of the day - and there probably won't be many more tonight - was catching Hockey on the teev this morning being interviewed outside his booth. God, I love that guy.

Given that we'll be back to the polls in less than 18 months, if I'm still in this f*cking hick, uncharted backwater, I'll do it. Might even take in the coloured pencils like I did in the ACT gov't elections in the late 80s. I spent a good 20 minutes colouring in squares different colours before numbering the squares. Don't know if they counted my vote, but I had fun doing it.

Looks like ALP 74 max with maybe 2 friendly others in Bandt and Wilkie.

It's a weird thing - with the arch conservatives so close to power, we may actually end up with a bigger mining tax and an ETS sooner rather than later.
