Mr Abbott likened the race to a cricket match. ''It's as if there's five minutes to go in a test match, the scores are level and we've got to make sure we win.''
Tony - if you are batting and the scores are tied you can't lose.
Farkwit.

Seriously, I reckon both the ALP and Coalition probably know pretty much where they are at, and Uhlmann typically has pretty good sources (at least in the ALP).
Well the ALP are sh!tting themselves as evident by Gillard's desperation in the past 24 hours.
I cannot believe this, but we may well be gone.
Poor fellow, my country.

Aye, Channel Nein played one of her performances today and she harped on about "risk" over a dozen times. It does smack a tad of desperation.

The ALP's only hope must be protest voters who switch back to the ALP at the polling booth.
The Greens always do well in the opinion polls but they nearly always fail dismally on election day. Here is hoping those green voters switch to Labor tomorrow.
Fark I cannot believe this is happening. This is worse than the 2005 GF loss for WCE. Farking take me now. Fark this sh!t.

Re: The Australian Federal Election 2010 Thread (III)
Despite my prediction of a Labor win I think the ALP are really worried.
I mean really worried.
Gillard has spent the last day of campaigning spouting the line "Vote for Abbott and he will bring back Work Choices".
It is blatant, dishonest scaremongering. She could be saying something like, "These are the same people who brought in WorkChoices - are you willing to trust them with your workplace conditions?", but she's not. She's going for the straight out lie.
It reeks of desperation.

Skully, I've already heard some diehard lefties saying they're "moving to New Zealand" if Abboot gets up.
I mean, if you're going to make a threat at least make it a credible one!

Not so - I often said that Howard's only saving grace was his love of cricket and the Red V (and starting daylight saving earlier).

Aye. They could have at least raised the "never ever GST" or similar.
What sh!ts me is that the Iraq war has barely been mentioned in this election. That's the problem with a "moving forward" mantra - you can't actually point out the historical atrocities of the other side.
