They might just be on to something, I suspect cricket ticket prices have risen way faster than the CPI over the past 25 years, and just don't represent value for money when compared to other sporting entertainment.

Gate takings are not CA's main source of income any more, sponsorship, coroporates, TV and internet rights all bring in more than the punters pay to get into the ground. Of course with stadia below half-full, the visual on TV isn't as good, so perhaps CA should take a good hard look at the prices they charge.

A couple of years ago, our boys ran up 370-odd against Sri Lanka at the SCG. I wouldn't bet against them returning the favour today.

So since Sri Lanka lost their 8th wicket the other night, they scored 1/200 against us in about 35 overs.
