Do New Zealand get the point of warm-up matches? You are supposed to let the oppo get their eye in but not select your Test XI. Kind of them to let the Pakistani players have practice in NZ conditions against McCullum, Vettori, Martin...

Or is the NZ cricket talent pool so shallow now they only have 12 players, with a couple of Crowe's and many Sheep in reserve?

It may be that McCullum, Vettori and Martin didn't have any domestic cricket before the first test test - or (more likely) the standard of their domestic cricket is so piss-poor that an outing against the oppo was preferable.

They're in the middle of their T20 competition at the moment.
