live on Sky in 40 mins
Not sure what team England will play.
PM's XI
J Anderson, DT Christian, TA Copeland, XJ Doherty, CJ Ferguson, AR Keath, UT Khawaja, NJ Maddinson, TD Paine*†, JL Pattinson, DJ Thornton
Looking forward to seeing the much touted Trent Copeland.

I assume it's another J.Anderson?
And I can tell you now- Copeland is a 78mph trundler.

Not on the team sheet but word doing the rounds is that Brett Lee will play?

In place of an up and coming, keen to impress youngster?
Nothing worse than an attention seeking old has-been stinking up the joint.

The 'team sheet' JKL quoted included Josh Anderson (ACT player, not of state standard) who will be 12th man in the XI.
Lee was named in the initial squad and was always going to play this match.

Aye, Danny Briggs would have been a better option for the ODI squad after what he did with the performance squad. Might not have played a game, but would have been a good experience for him.

So was Chris Woakes, last I saw. Supposed to have put on some pace, but we'll have to wait and see...

Slim picking in the seamers - two youngsters, backed up by Wright and Colly's part-times stuff.
Tredwell - dear oh dear...

Re: Gillards XI v England
Bizarrely the weather radar shows no rain whatsoever near the ACT.

Aye, if the two kids don't start well with the ball, you can see the wheels coming off horribly.
Positive thinking - bit of rain around usually means swing. Shahzad and Woakes have a good chance to make inroads. If they ever get out there.

As much as Aussie's like to brag about their weather (apart from the lack of an ozone layer) I can't help but notice it seems to have been constantly raining or threatening to rain this year....
Re: Gillards XI v England
