And Lee shows that he's still the same old Purdy-boy. Still bowling no-balls and giving away free hits.

This Copeland fella looks a pile of old mince. I thought people were talking him up as something.

Needs a good feed, too.

I hope the Poms who were lightly whining about the 'home town' umpires before saw the Dan Christian debacle, where he was called for two successive no-balls (and resultant free hits) when the deliveries were legal.

And this PMs XI match has shown that fielding, which was once an Aussie strength, has gone backwards in our young cricketers. Dropped catches, fumbled ground balls, and assorted other stuff-ups have come along every second over or so.

Yeah, they're not home-town umpires. Just useless.

James Pattinson looks like he could become a good bowler. For some reason I thought he was a batsman.

Decent build, pace, bit of niggle.

Bell gets it done. Comfortable win for England. Their bowling was pretty horrible, but batting was a doddle as the Aussie bowlers were't any better.

Lee's still got some heat - got one up at 90mph again. But none of the other bowlers will be playing in the one-dayers. Surely?

The game all became a bit village during the England innings. There's a lot of ordinary first class cricketers in Aus these days.

Gillard's X1 wins under the Oakeshott Windsor method where the independent cricketers Trott and Morgan declare their runs for the other team ...KP does a Katter and says his runs count for neither team ...Morgan takes 17 minutes to explain who gets his 0 not out

Only to be shat on by all and sundry after one poor performance, resulting in papers being marked NTPFEABHNSAAWOAIFTTTOTT*

* Never to play for England again because he's not South African and we only allow imports from there to take over the team
