The verdict
on butt, asif and aamir is supposed to be out later today
predictions?
i'll go with life bans for all. seems like they are trying to shift the blame onto each other, which kind of establishes that it was deliberate

Re: The verdict
Don't know what they'll do but would be surprised if they meted out that sort of punishment because that's atypical of the blundering ICC.

Re: The verdict
Life bans for Butt and Asif, certainly. I don't think they'll ban Amir for life, though. More likely a one year ban starting from when the ICC suspended him in September.

Re: The verdict
that would be weak as
surely at least a 5 year ban, if not life

i would guess a middle eastern country is not the best place for showing your approval for drugs. even if its not a country that will put you to death

Re: The verdict
Well, here's a surprise. The ICC has deferred the decision.

Probably taking legal advice before they reveal the verdict.

I'd like to see them try - the evidence was pretty damning. Oh wait, this is the ICC.........

Re: The verdict
I don't think any decision would have been announced anyway as it would prejudice a possible criminal trial that the UK police are still interested in.

Re: The verdict
If Aamer and Asif had played the game honestly Pakistan would have been one of the best test teams by now.
Attack of Asif, Aamer, Gul/riaz and Rehman would have been the best(or probably 2nd best at worst)) in the world and now the batting has improved a lot as well.

Re: The verdict
Amazing how their batting improvement seems to have coincided with them playing on completely flat pitches.

Re: The verdict
I reckon there's two or three of them still in the current team that have got away with it.....for now.
