Was going to post this last night but forgot but...
Farlk me that was a choke and a half from the Saffies. Must be a World Cup year.

Brain Jerling adjudging Botha out LBW has to be one of the biggest joke of a decision ever. I mean how can anyone give that out. Botha's expressions aptly summarized the decision.

Hmm, at 4-152 at the 32 over mark, chasing 191 - yup, that's a choke of Saffie proportions.
18 overs to get 39 runs with 6 wickets in hand, and they fell over?? WTF??

Indeed, can't believe Taips is trying to say it wasn't a choke.skully wrote:Hmm, at 4-152 at the 32 over mark, chasing 191 - yup, that's a choke of Saffie proportions.

Undoubtedly a choke but some will still be in denial. As far as SA's opponents are concerned, anything is defendable when their minds turn to the WC.

Disgraceful from the SA bats after their bowlers had put them in the winning position, even if batting under lights is more challenging.
Ah it's Red. the Aussie version of fatman. Only their mother can tell them apart.

But the problem is, it's not just Red this time.

So calling a spade a spade makes people hyenas, jackals and vultures? Strange logic.PeterCS wrote:But the problem is, it's not just Red this time.

It's really bizarre that a year back in Jaipur India won the first of the 3 one day series in exactly the same fashion - beating SA by 1 run [only difference was it was a high scoring run chase]. A massive choke then too on that occasion. The fact that lightning strikes twice? The last man out in that match was a certain Parnell who was run out. Quite bewildering and karmic almost.......
Quite interesting and baffling all the same.

Typing "South Africa choke" brings up this match as the first result. I would have thought the 1999 semi would have come up first.
Joking aside taips, you can't deny that this isn't choking big time.

Part of the fun of flamingbails - taips denying Saffers choked after an obvious choke. Happens everytime.
