I'm perfectly calm, thanks h. But it's nice to see the rabids still can't handle a bit of poking. I've got 30 pages of proof in this thread as to what a pack of s0ftc0cks you lefties are. Cool

Unlike Mick's clients (who are bleeding while he plays golf), I moved my equity portfolio into 7% term deposit portfolio when the market hit 5000. How about you?

Nice to see you wasting time on a cricket forum while you p!ss away your clients portfolios. I'm sure your phone has been running hot with worried investors as the stock markets plunge. No doubt you've reassured them with "Oh it's OK, just a few jitters, I wouldn't panic or going taking your money out of equity portfolios (cos that will cost me)" while you continue to skim their accounts. Keep up the good work, sleazebag vulture boy. And do me a favour - at least try to come up with a lame barb that might have some originality and not the same thing you repeat every day. But I guess you are too much of a simpleton to think of anything genuinely clever

All the methane that's spewing from your face is increasing the greenhouse gases over Brisvegas. It's already a sh!thole but go ahead and make it a bigger sauna. What a farkin roob.

"THE Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, has again questioned the scientific evidence for climate change, saying he does not accept that carbon dioxide is a proven ''environmental villain'' or that cutting greenhouse gas emissions is the most important environmental challenge.

The Minister for Climate Change, Greg Combet, seized on the comments by Mr Abbott yesterday as ''proof'' the Liberal Party's climate policy is based on ''the extreme view that climate change doesn't exist''.

Speaking at a community forum in Perth, Mr Abbott said: ''I don't think we can say that the science is settled here.

''There is no doubt that we should do our best to rest lightly on the planet and there is no doubt that we should do our best to emit as few waste products as possible, but, having said that, whether carbon dioxide is quite the environmental villain that some people make it out to be is not yet proven.

''We should take precautions against risks and threats, potential ones as well as actual ones, but I don't think we should assume that the highest environmental challenge, let alone the great moral social and political challenge of our time, is to reduce our emissions,'' Mr Abbott said in response to a question.

Despite once famously saying the settled science of climate change was ''absolute crap'', Mr Abbott has more recently repeatedly stated that he accepts the science and has told his MPs their debate with the government should be about the Prime Minister's broken promise, the impact of the carbon price and the relative merit of the Coalition's ''direct action'' climate policy, and not about climate science.

Mr Combet said the comments showed ''Mr Abbott is a climate change denier, which explains why his climate policy is nonsense''.

This is our alternative Prime Minister. What a complete nuff nuff.

I would be interested to see Abbott's proof of the existence of God.

What's that old RC trick. Faith and belief/proof can't coexist. If you could actually proved he existed faith would be unnecessary. Thomas Aquinas I think.

I haven't got a moral or ethical problem with nuclear power, just a practical one. We're going to have to import the expertise to build an run the things sort of destroying any advantage we might have because we've got the fuel lying all over northern Australia.

Still, it looks further away than ever for Australia. The ALP has always been against it (as have the Greens). I can't see the Libs having it as a platform given the sort of negative campaign that could be run against it.

I wonder if you would actually need legislation or could it be driven and managed under existing regulations. You certainly don't need legislation to dump the ALP's current "half pregnant" policy.

It's a good wolf whistle. The pro nuclear guys are kept happy that the Libs are on their side but Abbott knows he will never have to deliver it.
