US Open Tennis 2011

It's a chokeathon between Stosur and Kirilenko. Set points and match points being blown all over the shot.

Currently 15-15 in the second set tie breaker.

FFS... Stosur loses 17-15.

In the first set, Stosur was giving Kirilenko a good licking...

And she relicked her in the 3rd. Stosur now through to the QF.

I've heard Stosur likes to give a good licking...

Turns out that the tie break was the longest in US Open history. And that is following Stosur's third round match which was the longest match in US Open history.

Why do people laugh when someone suffers those most heinous of things - cramps? But Rafa did look hilarious as he cramped up and slid under the table at the post-match press conference.

I get cramps at night...drives me spare...only thing that used to work was a glass of tonic water (w or w/o the gin)...but they have cut the quinine for some reason

As do I, h, particularly if I've done a lot of walking at work through the day. I can just flex the ankle sometimes and a garquen calf muscle will lock up. Farken deadly.

Quinine is good gear. The old man always used to have a bottle beside the bed for just such moments.

Poisoning. You can still some with a reasonable level, but it is a prescription drug.

Only skimmed this thread and though JGK said Stosur had choked, so was pleasantly surprised to see she actually won her match v the Russian babe* to move to the QFs. I saw bits of Sam's previous game v the fat chick. She choked a few times in that one on match point.

Stosur through to the SF where she plays some unseeded German.

So she'll probably lose.

The Scot through to the QF too. Fed a set and 2 breaks up v Tsonga for the right to lose to Joker in the SF>
