It's just Quntitch taking every opportunity of cheaping the baggy green ....

He should be charged with Treason and send to Gitmo for some waterboarding

The likes of Hayden, Hussey, MEW, and even Taypodge must be aghast at the amount of FC runs they had to score before they got a look in.

I wonder if SBBOT includes stats for which strino had scored the least amount of FC runs when making their debut.

I think I can hear Jamie Siddons (10,643 Shield runs - no Tests) spewing all the way from Dhaka.

Phurt. If I wanted to celebrate mediocrity, I'd be cheering about the horrendous result last Friday morning.

He is paying the price for being the lesser talented younger brother, and for moving to Victoria. Mad

Ironically, former selector Jamie Cox amassed 10,821 Shield runs (the second highest) & never got a test.

I think Diva has over 20000 FC runs without a Baggy Green. Pretty it's the record for an Australian and up there with anybody who ever played the game.

Coxy had 18644 first class runs & would have walked into todays side. At least Diva scored a couple of ODI's.

Michael Beer had 36 FC runs, has Warner made more than that yet?

Seriously though, the once mythologised and vaunted baggy green has really been cheaped by Hughes, Smith and Lyon... Warner only cheaps it further.

The speculation around Punter's place continues but he still seems to be in denial talking last week about still wanting to go to England in 2013 for the Ashes, not as a tourist.

Well, he's allowed to want to go ... he shouldn't be in the side now if he doesn't want to go ... but he's got to earn it.

Dravid turned his longterm downturn around, having been written off by all and sundry for a year or more. That's what Ponting has to do, or he's history. If he hadn't been such a great player in the past, he wouldn't have had the latitude he's been given already.
