According to my research Brisbane provides the 16th instance in Tests of one captain scoring a century whilst his opposite number was dismissed, in either innings, by the first delivery he faced. In chronological order they are as follows:

Coincidence that the opposing captain should score a century though. Remarkable how often it should involve the same names - Smith 4 times & Bradman 3. The Cowdrey-Sobers and Gatting-Border records are also notable for providing the only instances of both captains scoring centuries as well as one of them being dismissed first ball. I haven't checked yet but it would be interesting to see if there is an instance, discounting the number of balls faced, of both captains scoring centuries and being dismissed for a duck in the same match.

Just checked and this is the unique instance of both captains being dismissed for a century & a duck in the same match. Only 1 ball separates Cowdrey's dismissal in England's 2nd innings (when an extra day had been allocated to make up for time lost due to crowd rioting) from being a first-baller:

By my reckoning, which is no doubt deeply flawed as Embee will not hesitate to point out, Walsh made 7 ducks as captain, including a pair at Rawalpindi in December 1997, only one of which, against Sri Lanka in Antigua in June 1997, was a first-baller but in that game his opposite number, Arjuna Ranatunga only made 42 & 13. No opposition captain scored a century in any game where Walsh (as captain) made a duck, the nearest to doing so being Sachin Tendulkar who made 88 at Queen's Park Oval in March 1997.
