Well I'm torn now between agreeing with them or calling them sooks.

It's a tough one. If he chucks, ban him . . . but not til after he makes a few kiwis and subis jump this summer.

Can't imagine that the kiwi top order batsmen will be thrilled about this.

Fark me, he chucks far less than Murali, so by definition he's not a chucker. Has anyone been watching the current Test as Chuck pings with impugnity? Half hour ago he came in and almost dropped the ball just as his arm reached his ear. The elbow was at 90 degrees FFS as he pulled out of the delivery. Farkin makes me sick.

He pinged it pretty well in Oz, but do you think he might actually have been holding back for fear of abuse? He is twice as open about it now he's back in SL.

Happy for Tait to be called if the rule is applied uniformily across all countries and players. But we know that is not going to happen.THICKEDGE wrote:As Michael Holding says "there are a lot of one way streets in Australia"

And rightly so - he was worse than CBER.

And he still does, judging by his efforts in the recent ODI series v Snoozers. I doubt he'll ever get summoned for remedial action again because the Chuck situation has made it a free for all.taipan wrote:skully wrote:Happy for Tait to be called if the rule is applied uniformily across all countries and players. Fixed.
Oh and does anyone have any screencaps of Murali chucking it? I haven't seen any of the test matches mainly because i've been at work but i heard that quite a few times people could tell that he was chucking.

I saw a snap of Ahktar the other day, and jeez, that was horrific, his arm was bent (the opposite to his hyperextension excuse).
Add that to his hyperextension and he's better than a baseball pitcher!!!

Need I say - it's a frickin blight on the game. All through p!ss poor inaction by the ICC 10 years ago after Big D pulled the trigger.

Aye. Although I would say the ICC did take action. They changed one of the fundamental rules of cricket!!!!

Yeah, quite unbelievable actually. Years and years of navel gazing on many topics then they make the biggest fundamental change to the game since they added an extra stump - just to bring Chuck within the Rules. Farkin disgraceful.

Re: Tait's action questioned by New Zealand
Yup yup and yup....
What would have been easier is to just bring in a bit of kit that had to be worn when bowling, a brace of some description that kept the arm straight!!!
Then see how well these people bowl!
Anyway, not alot can be done now. Bugs the shoite out of me, but we have to live with it!
