Re: Le Tour de Pharmaceutical 2012
Sky's team boss is the same man as leads the British Olympic cycling team, isn't he...
Cavendish isn't going to do anything of use for Wiggins and Froome in the Pyrenees. A number of other sprinters have already dropped out, there can only really be Paris left on his objectives here this year.

He fetched capes and water for them the other day. I'm sure the mic picked up Froome saying "there's a good lad".

Re: Le Tour de Pharmaceutical 2012
Doubt he will be in touch beyond the first climb on the next stage.
Will be interesting to see if he can reinvent himself as more of an all-rounder when he's no longer winning the sprints on a regular basis, or if he just ends up largely scrapping for minor places or as a lead-out man.

Aye, and Sky is basically the only commercial sponsor of British cycling nowadays, though I'm sure the lottery fund plays a huge part too.beamer wrote:Sky's team boss is the same man as leads the British Olympic cycling team, isn't he...

Unlike last year, this TDF is looking like a laydown Misere...unfortunately for the spectators.

It was reported on the wireless that there were Victorians on the side of the road booing Rodgers for helping Wiggins beat Evans.
Jeez they are an ignorant bunch

Back to some serious climbing today. Lets hope those bloody Spanish tack throwers have buggered off.

Not likely, he could hope that Wiggins gets a scalded cat on his lap and could lose those minutes though. It is a descent finish though, good day for Evans to make some time on Wiggins.

Evans dropped on the 3rd climb. He might catch them on the way down before the final climb and hope that the guys in front might have taken something out of themselves.

The podium is sewn up now. Evans now behind Van Garderen in the overall.

Re: Le Tour de Pharmaceutical 2012
Guess Cadel will have to ride for his team-mate tomorrow to keep him in white, even if the final TT is likely to move the Aussie back ahead of him.
Sky just have to be sensible now, keep Wiggins and Froome out of trouble and cover any move from Nibali and the race is won.

Swisse Vitamins
Are they the Kiss of Death for Sportspeople?
Evans is advertising them at the moment
Ponting's form went downhill straight after he starting endorsing them
They are also "powering" the Oz Olympic Team ...expect a result worse than Montreal

Evans has all but conceded defeat so i suspect the attention of BMC will turn to protecting Tejay's jersey.
Looks like a great stage today.

Well, they never say it directly but Evans eluded to stomach complaint & the fact that Sky had run a pretty good campain so you can take it as read.
