What, you think leaving it 13 years and relying on another Body to find him out isn't good enough?

Sage, Armstrong even paid the UCI 100k.

As for Schleck, terrible season, and now it's going to be a push to be in form for the Vuelta, where he'll be up against the other dodginess, Contador. Radioshack Trek are all over the place now.

Ironic, just seen that the USADA has charged Armstrong with use of illegal substances, possession, trafficking, administering drugs to others and aiding, abetting and covering up. They also claim that there are numerous riders and employees (from various teams including USPS) who'll testify.

Also charged with similar, and greater, charges are a great deal of the former US Postal, Discovery channel (same as USPS but just a different sponsor), Radioshack and that Astana of 2009 clan.

Johan Bruyneel, MD of those teams, Luis Del Moral, doctor at USPS from 99-03, Michele Ferrari USPS 99-07, Pepe Marti, trainer from 99-08 have all been similarly charged by he USADA. Whether it gets to court is another thing.

Good times for Armstrong.

Yeah, many people would've been involved, and you can only keep everyone in a crowd quiet for so long. Armstrong will turn out a bigger cheating disgrace than Marion Jones. Will he tearfully admit how ashamed he is, and will he go the "US Postal Team made me do it" route?

I've read a copy of the letter and just finished reading the whole thing. So, it is likely to be a case of nice tits.

Which is why they shouldn't award the title to whoever came second.

Reasonable postulation but wouldn't leaving the winner as "Nul due to drugs" be even more of a taint on the event (if that is possible)
Could always re-run them all, with whoever took part in those years who can still get on a bike and hasn't been proved to be doping...

I suppose there's a fair chance that everyone in the top 20 was cheating in some years. Whatever Armstrong is or isn't guilty of, I don't see the point in this ongoing witch-hunt, probably every winner from the 60s (if not before) through to Contador was doping and they haven't tried to rewrite or erase history apart from those who were caught at the time.

Anyway, Wiggins now clear bookies' favourite for this year, with Cadel seemingly the only other serious contender. Surprising to see such backing for someone who has basically had one great year in the Tour and little else and has his home Olympics coming up straight after. Making the podium would be a great achievement.

As I said earlier, how times have changed when a Pom and an Aussie are the favourites for the Tour.

His teammate, Rolland, will be a good bet to animate the mountain with Vanendert. They're just going to lose too much in the time trials.

Cavendish won a stage race, the pointless Ster ZLM, or something similar, tour, without winning a single sprint. He lost in the sprints to Greipel, Kittel (who's a proper talent) and even Boom, but he hung on in the hills while all other sprinters faded.

Maybe got the Olympics in mind more than the Tour.

Armstrong's response. 15 pages of charges with little but dodgy eyewitness testimonies, most likely to include the most trustworthy of frauds Floyd Landis and also Tyler Hamilton, and 18 pages of this. It would be a huge surprise if any of the rider witnesses actually shat on their own career to shit on Armstrong's.

Mind, just been over to a couple of cycling boards (they really exist Shocked ) and qunts there are dropping a massive load over what is basically just pressing of charges FFS.

Prologue has started.

Wiggins is 2.30 to win the whole thing and I think only 3 riders are less than 10.

Cancellara dominated the prologue in the end, 7 second win. Wiggo second. Evans only ten seconds behind Wiggins.
