Wimblenod

Post by lardbucket on Sun 10 Jun 2012, 07:21

Starting up again soon at an insomniac's house near you.

A week of strawberries and icecream, and a few display matches, none of which are likely to inspire.

Nadal to win again, and draw the women's winner out of a hat. Likely to be a screamer though.

They have cut it down to a week because of the Olympics?

No, there's a few display matches, along with the week of strawberries and icecream.

Look for Sammy Stosur to end up with grass burns on her knees, oh, and lose in the 1st round.

These things can be hard to predict.

Even Martina was occasionally licked at Wimbledon.

PMSL @ Nalbandian. Kicks an advertising board into the shins of a linesman and opens him up. Umpire awarded the match against him after the poor linesman hobbled away bleeding. Roob.

Predictably, Tomic and Hewitt both out in first round.

Aye. Tomic just highlighted his limitations by being unable to counter the aggression of his lesser ranked opponent & Hewitt should stop embarrassing himself & just retire.

Tomic dribbled on about "other factors outside tennis" affecting him. I reckon he'll turn out a big arseclown than Hewitt and the Poo put together.

Oh, and Aus men's tennis is shit. That is all.

We've got a few more players still in at this stage than usual!

What's happened in Australia though? They have always had Grand Slam title contenders for several decades. Less participation? Poor administration/coaching?
