NZ 7 for just over 100, Polly Styris 40-odd, DS Mills keeping him company, the excitement so intense CrocInfo crashed for a while....

If you look at the career records of New Zealand's batsmen, only 2 of them- Styris and Taylor, average over 30 in ODI's.
No wonder they're crap. Bangladesh probably has a better batting lineup at this point in time.

Doesn't How average over 30 too? But point taken.Henry wrote:If you look at the career records of New Zealand's batsmen, only 2 of them- Styris and Taylor, average over 30 in ODI's.

Their bowling is pretty carp without Bond as well - only Mills averages under 30 (although Vettori's E/R is quite good).

All over, Aus win by 114 runs. I assume that Punter will be MotM and MotS, but not announced yet.

I haven't seen a more gutless display of kriket amongst whom is supposed to be a great rivalry.
Re: Australia v NZ, 3rd ODI, Hobart, 20th Dec
If New Zealand don't sack John Bracewell now then they never will. Since he's been coach, New Zealand have gone from about 3rd to 7th in the Test rankings. Until recently, they'd remained pretty competetive in ODI's, but I think the shit has well and truly hit the fan now. Bracewell is a joke.

Australia beating NZ in an ODI used to be likened to beating a kid brother ... now it's like beating a kid sister.
I reckon Bangladesh might do them.

Good win by the boys. Didn't see much of it unfortunately. Only 2 pages? Yikes, must be Christmas.
