Then when everyone has selected a player you repeat the process.

I'll throw my hat in the ring so you're all fighting over who has the 2nd worst team.

I guess that's the only point to this, you "draft" an eleven and then we discuss/ridicule/insult the other teams?

So, to get this straight, MP is going to give us a picking order for player number 1, we all pick, and then get a new picking order for player 2 Etc?

We all get assigned a draft position, presumably randomly but if this is truly a cricketing draft then MrP would be channelling the BCCI ICC so there's room for corruption there. Anyway, #1 selects, then #2, and so on until the first round of selections is finished...then the order starts again from the top or the selections "snake" so the unlucky bugger who went last picks first in the next round. And so on and on.

Oh and you can't pick Bradman.

OK, let me try simplify.

The analogy of picking teams at school is a good one. Essentially everybody starts with noone. Then the first person on the list picks a player. Then the second person. Then the third. It keeps going till everyone has a player. Then the second round starts.

Another example:

All-time Rugby draft.

Person A picks Richie McCaw
Person B picks Dan Carter (only after Person A makes their pick of McCaw
Person C picks George Smith (only after Person B makes their pick of Carter)

then once everyone has picked, it's time for round 2. In round 2, the order is reversed to make it more fair (otherwise Person A get's the 1st, 4th etc picks whereas Person C gets the 3rd, 6th therefore being at a disadvantage).

So can pick any player in any position as long as no one has picked him.

It's fine to reverse for the 2nd round but what happens in the third round?
