Re: South Africa v WI, 2nd Test, Cape Town, 2-6 Jan
you would think they'll need 180 to have a chance?

157 now.
Gayle seems to have settled down now so this is now a potentially proper partnership between proper batsmen.

The Saffies are getting pissed off. How funny was Nel having a go at Gayle to "hit the farking ball" after leaving one even though he had just hit him for 14 runs off 3 balls.
Now 4 byes after some sloppy keeping.
166 the lead.

Pair of 6s from Gayle.
While I am a cricket purist, I have to say that I do enjoy it when Gayle is at the crease.

Probably not enough at all, but a couple of early ones and the CH*K* spectre begins to loom.JKLever wrote:Not enough but something to bowl at I guess.
I wish Gayle had just held back a little bit more and nudged it over 200.

Be interesting to see if Steyn bats with a runner, should the Windies get that far. I thought it was disgustingly bad sportsmanship, tbh.

Foul-mouth Steyn is at it now, or was.
Steyn, Nel, Smith, Kallis at times not very likeable at all. Ntini, Pollock are likeable though.
Gutted when Gayle got out, 250 would have been a real tough ask.

Legend.
DAYYAAMM Gayle can hit the ball!
WIndies have a great chance to win the series if they can bowl well, even if they'd have liked a few runs more ideally. Any of the bowlers injured?

yeah, Edwards is crocked.
Meaning they don't have enough power in the attack

They should bowl Samuels a bit more in the 5th day pitch.

Good start from the Saffies - that should settle the nerves.

I don't suppose there is any chance that Rawl Lewis could bowl them to victory.

Agreed, similar to what I said earlier in the thread. ICC should look into it.
