What are the odds?
Cricinfo says some guy called AD Hales is playing for the Lions. Which would be a neat trick, given he's in NZ.

Wee Jimmy Taylor? Overrated. Goes missing against half decent attacks. Chopra looks ok. Might get a go for England this Summer.

Brit Cubettes v Vix kids seems to be an entertaining 50 over game....330+ for the visitors and 2/100 odd for the hosts at the halfway mark

All set up for a Vixen Cubs choke. 26 needed off 20 with plenty of wickets in the shed.

This Lions bowling attack is a f*cking joke. All this talk of England's fast bowling depth is bullshit. We have Anderson and Finn, and f*ck all else.

must say it was another sensational woof from jgk that got the Vix kids over the line...why does jgk's abilities not help the spivs?
according to CA
"One more game to be played between these two sides, they will meet at the MCG on Wednesday, where the Victorian XI will likely field a stronger side and look for a clean sweep of these warm up matches."
....good times...the future of english cricket seems assured

Re: England Lions tour of Australia
I'm amazed at the attack the Lions are fielding. Chris Wright is a scatter gun with a modest first class record, yet he's the only 'specialist' quick bowler in the team. The rest- Stokes, Clarke, Craig Overton, are batting all rounders.

the Brittles are scoring at under 3 per over but now look like they will bat out the 50 overs...Skewiiff is the one Brion who has stood up this tour

oh well ...173 all out is not too bad in the end...good effort from skewiff who again top scored...nice to see a Victorian leggie again befuddling the poms

Vix now 0/54 in the 12th over...they certainly have played Tonic into form...the Brittles have not had a happy series of practice matches here..
At this rate Mudge will not post on this thread again

Re: England Lions tour of Australia
This is the worst Lions bowling attack ever assembled. I can only assume they're sacrificing team balance for the sake of finding a batting all rounder who can slot into the ODI side.....and no one is stepping up.
