We were all between tittering and jealous at the time.

At least this name is easy to pronounce. Not much of a mouthful.

There were rumours Kanye West and girlfriend, Kim Kardashian were keeping with the 'K' theme and naming their new daughter Kaidence or Klementine.

But, no. TMZ are reporting that the name on the birth certificate is North West.

The 32-year-old reality star gave birth to North West on June 15 in the US$3,320-a-night maternity suite at the Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Kardashian reportedly suffered complications and went into labor prematurely delivering her daughter three weeks early. It was said to be a natural birth and the baby weighed "just under five pounds" according to E! Online.

Mother and baby are now said to be doing well and left the hospital on June 19 with 36-year-old Kanye West.

Kardashian's mother, Kris spoke to Showbiz Tonight earlier this week. "We are all good and extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby," she said. "[The baby] is doing great and beautiful. So very exciting."

Kardashian and West knew the sex of the baby before it was born, making the revelation on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

"I'm so excited we're having a girl," Kim said on the show. "Who doesn't want a girl? I think they are the best. I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted – he wanted a little girl."

North West is not Kim and Kanye's only new and exciting addition. The new family will soon move into the $11 million mansion they recently bought in Bel Air.
