Meaker and Overton in the wickets.

Nice to see a couple of young English bowlers still trying.

Saw a few overs from Adam Ball in the Kent/Worcs pro40 game. What a disgrace. He was bowling 80-84mph for England U19s as a 16 year old and looked a cracking talent.

Aged just 20, he now mega-dobs at 73mph.

Cricinfo: "An aggressive left-arm quick... Ball models his style on an Australian, Mitchell Johnson."

Sure he does. Sure he does.

Maybe they just mean that he bowls it to the left, and the right. And his bowling's shite.

I'm not convinced by Trescothick's captaincy at times. Lewis Gregory constantly gets under-bowled. He's another that looked the goods a couple of years back- Bowled high 80s and had a cracking yorker. Barely gets a bowl these days. Or a bat, for that matter.

He's certainly no #5, is he?

Averaging under 10 with the bat after 10 FC matches.

Bit weird that he's that bad with the bat in big boy cricket. He always batted #4 for the England U19s, so you'd assume he knows roughly what he's doing.

A player with Rashid's batting and Borthwick's bowling would be a hell of a prospect.

Shiv Thakor reaches 1000 first-class runs, and is averaging just over 56.

Part of me thinks he's batting too low at 7.

Part of me thinks Leicestershire are pretty good at developing their kids and that they've got it about right for a nineteen year-old who gets through a few overs.

Is this the knobby part?
