Yeah thanks. It was all night work day that day. Was working without sleep 2 days and nights. The grinding schedule thankfully ended today morning. So slept till late afternoon and then went out with missus and kids evening. Bought myself a new smartphone [ending my love for the last one bought 6 years back, LOL], bought lots of classic DVDs at the mall, got to meet some schoolmates over Soda and sizzlers [they had beer, I had mere soft pops] and had pizzas with cocktails and ice cream with Missus and kid. So yeah it was both fun and quiet and pleasant. Great evening and a much lighter wallet [sigh]......

Sounds like a good one to me Batty - glad it went all good. Sounds like you deserved it.

Micromax Canvas HD 3 A116. Great smartphone with all apps you need and at incredible economy budget. This phone is not launched yet but is in tremendous demand beating Samsung Note 2, Tab 2, S3, Grand, IPhone 5, Nokia Lumia hands down etc. There is a huge que for it and sellers are making good money on demand. This phone will lead the way as bigger names will be forced to offer similar budget pieces with more performance and apps soon. MMx didn't realize what a hot potato they had on hands and are not able to meet the demand and capitalize as their distribution network and manufacture capacity is not maximized and wheeled well.

For a little more money LG nexus 4 is the one to beat with quad processor, 2 gb ram and high resolution video display. The only path breaking phone right now is new Galaxy S4 from recent launches. The best feature is you can use both back and front cameras together. You can actually use back camera to shoot and show the person you are talking to through video call at front end. This will bring camera technology to around 180 degree use.

I have not had a great experience of Samsung Galaxy phone. Apps crashing, the phone freezing etc. Have heard the same from others too. So I am a bit skeptical about the S4. Its features are good though.

Right now Mmx Canvas 3 has everything that the Galaxy range offers you between Grand and S3. It still costs a good 5 grand less than Grand which has a smaller display of 400x800. Mmx has 5 inch screen, 720x1280 display and 8mp front camera, same as Galaxy S3. Its expandable by 32gb external card and has duel Sim like Grand. It also runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It is a good 12 grand less than say S3 or Nexus 4 E960 [16GB variant. There is also an 8 GB variant that is 4 grands less than 16 GB one]. Nexus offers faster connectivity and a monster 768x1280 display. My only issue with Nexus 4 is that its not launched here and is not a serviceable phone here as it is not covered in warranty as a result. Samsung phones only give you maybe a better body build at best. In the end though, at nearly 30% less cost than S3 and Nexus 4,16GB you can't complain much with Mmx C3 HD A116. This baby is a steal for it's pricing and features. You can buy it in bill over the counter so its no issue.

TBH honest Samsung Galaxy Grand blew it. For a phone of that pricing the 400x800 display is a huge letdown. These days 720 screen and 8 mp cameras are considered must in any smart phone in that price range.
