There was a page and half of it, and yes it's been deleted.

Like you say, you weren't there, but you know how it goes: a thread is bumbling along minding its own business, people are contributing periodically, then a big shot wades in and starts poking around and before you know it the topic has been hijacked and dragged into the gutter.
