A week today. Exciting, but:
... there's still time for Watson, Clarke, and Harris to be sent home with career-ending injuries.

You are presuming I take notice of anything you post.embee wrote:skully wrote:Looks very much like Boof has made up his mind on at least 5 of the top 6. Seemingly it's:
Twat
Buck
Moo
Pup
Con
TCS/Downy/Fork/Uzzy
It seems Boof doesn't like black qunts, so Uzzy's chances seem slim (with Boof not giving him a chance to show his wares in the current FC match). Perhaps it's between Downy and the TFW (Tweeting Farkwit).
It also looks like Boof has been sitting back watching and saying "If I was in charge, I'd have a different batting order" and has immediately implemented it. Hopefully he gets the mix right. Who knows - Con coming in at 5 or 6 with the ball not doing as much might be able to get some runs. Although I'm totally with lardy on this - I wouldn't have the ugly little qunt anywhere near an Aus XI.
And I didn't realise Rogers is actually a Spiv. I hope he goes well and gives us some stability at no. 2 for the next 2 years or so.
I guess Ginger Dubber Wozzie Vomit was too subtle

Looking forward to it? No. Not really. England consist of a bunch of hand-shandies whose brains are directly linked to their haircuts.
Re: England v Australia, 1st Test, Trent Bridge, 10-14 July, 2013
The only thing that can give Aus any chance is a 1989 style "well, they are the shittiest team ever to tour our country" attitude from England, with our bowlers catching the talented England top 6 on the hop and our batsmen doing enough to capitalise. The main problem is a lack of ruthlessness in the Aussie ranks ala AB, Tugga, Dean Jones, Boonie, Henry, Clem, etc. Hopefully Boof can instill some mongrel back into the Baggy Green.
I blame shiT20 cricket.

800 odd runs from one of the openers would help too....

Indeed. Tubby was at his career best in the 89 Ashes. His cover driving was a thing of beauty.

To be fair to Compo, he's made a pretty good case to be selected for the first test.

Yep. Aust bowling looks a little worrying judging by the scorecard.

Given Twatto scored a century, the pitch has to be as flat as Justine Henin.

He has milked Gashton Slagar quite a bit though.

Meh, I'd take Compo over Bairstow pretty much everytime. Keep Root at six.

Damn straight - one is an overly intense blocker. Whereas the other, frankly, has very little clue. And the opener Root, IMO, is not much of an opener ATM. It's one of many twattish decisions made by the England camp.

BTW, did you like Gashton Slagar?

Never seen him bowl. Can't claim credit for him being rubbish, I'm afraid.

And now Bird going mental, four wickets in around three overs. I knew this pitch was a minefield greentop.
