That ball to Clarke Â
Way Australia are going it'll be 110-ish all out.

How long till Micky Clarke drops back to the kiddy positions? Has he scored a ton above 5?

We're still bowling a bit short. Even though EVERY wicket in the match so far has fallen to well pitched up deliveries.

Bit pre-emptive maybe, but time for 'The Sturat Cycle':
Breaks down, performs shite, outstanding performance, performs shite, breaks down and so forth.

Oh, and get Finn off. He's gone through his cycle of buffet, buffet, buffet, crackerjack delivery, buffet, buffet, buffet.

Sawn off a bit, Rogers, I thought.
Just didn't look right, real time.
Hey ho.
75/4, England's bowlers still making a game of it, but on a nice sunny day tomorrow, I can see Australia getting a reasonable lead. Fancy Haddin for his customary early series hundred.

England will need Broad fit and able to bowl, as well.

As suspected, looks like the series will be won by the team whose batsman are marginally less incompetent.

Smith. The most underrated player in Aus.

Everyone bowls horribly to him. Just pitch it up outside off stump and wait him out. Technically he's a car crash on the off side.
Re: England v Australia, 1st Test, Trent Bridge, 10-14 July, 2013
Well, it's not the most wickets on a day of Test cricket I've been to at Trent Bridge, saw 16 against Pakistan a few years ago! First session looked evenly balanced but then the England batting just self-destructed as we knew it could. Seemingly a pitch on which nobody was ever really in, given the fact we didn't see a single 50, but there were enough boundary balls being served up that there was no need to take undue risks.
I said before the series if the top three don't make big scores it's likely the rest could subside, and it's lucky we had bowlers and a shaky Aussie top order to drag it back. Next session could be the crucial one, can we roll them over or will they find a partnership to give them a probably match-winning 50+ lead?

Yeah, well, we could say the same about most batsmen these days.
My point is that he seems to be the one who won't just chuck it away. I thought he was one of the better Aus batsmen in India last year, and was shocked he wasn't in the Ashes squad.
