Re: English Off Season 2013/14
So who's this "Australian bowler who has played two or three Tests" (BBC cricket website) that Northants are trying to sign?
McDonald (another Northampton Clown in the making?)
Bryce McGain (even bigger one)
Clint McKay?
Peter George??
Moises Henriques??
Pat Cummins?
Jacko Bird???
Or is it a spinner, e.g. Krejza?
I see they have Mo Chambers on board. And G White, eventually, back from Notts.

We need a real spinner. Shame we've got such a wanker though.PeterCS wrote: And G White, eventually, back from Notts.
Haven't a clue about the overseas bowler - but they reckon it's sewn up for the first few months of the season. Some yokel was chucking in Jackson Bird as the name - but I don't see it.
Re: English Off Season 2013/14
Bird has only just started net bowling again after his second bout of stress fractures. Probably won't be bowling for Tasmania until December at the earliest so i doubt if he is in the frame for County cricket.Brass Monkey wrote:We need a real spinner. Re: English Off Season 2013/14
Wouldn't April/May be the perfect time to be playing some competitive cricket to get yourself fully sorted for the next season/Test matches?
Not that I think it will be him.

It's RRRonald McDonald.
He heard the vibe going down in Northampton town.
Figured there's a neesh for another big clown.

Re: English Off Season 2013/14
btw Do you want Wayne White to go with your Graeme? They could have a wank-off on the pitch, England Ashes stylee.

We've got all-rounders. I count Hall, Crook, Willey, Middlebrook, Spriegel and White.PeterCS wrote:btw Do you want Wayne White to go with your Graeme? They could have a wank-off on the pitch, England Ashes stylee.
We need a proper batsman. How about giving us a proper batsman?
Oh.....
Re: English Off Season 2013/14

I'm happy Lancs have Luis Reece. May be their best opener since Noddy Pullar started to go off.

You need to get Scott Muller in to lead your band of all-rounders.

Re: English Off Season 2013/14
Saw they released him. Expensive contract, I bet.PeterCS wrote:You can have Stephen Moore.
Still, I don't think he' s shot to ribbons - poor form just happens sometimes. When they're older, higher paid, they get the can.
Doubt we could afford him, anyway. Someone will snap him up. Probably Slurreytinghamshire.
