Re: Congratulations Alastair Cook
The Belf will overtake Cook....and thereby prove himself to be the once and future king of English cricket...
I think the Belf has a good chance of ending up as England skipper too...this will be helped by the appointment of Bayliss who has track record in appointing unusual people - Katich

Re: Congratulations Alastair Cook
Retirement (or the shove) before July beckons for the Belf I'm afraid.
He just hasn't turned up against the Kiwis.
Boult and Southee both have the wood on him and his frequent
spills at slip now make him a liability going forward.
If only he took the #3 batting slot, grew some gonads and shouldered
more responsibility as the senior player in a young side .... if only ...
But Belf was never that way inclined.

I sincerely hope so.
In which case, (in the words of the infamous lecher LibDem polly, Paddy Ashdown) I shall eat my hat!
Can't see it happening though.
