Ah, I'm sure my work's Irish branch will be glued to their TVs, radios or cricinfo not have any idea about this match whatsoever. Even if they win. But it's in Ireland - rain is inevitable. There might be a toss...

That's fantastic! A lot of poker and pontoon skills honed, no doubt.

I'd have dusted off Subbuteo Cricket, mainly from curiosity - I expect it's rubbish. They blatantly had the time to master pretty much any game they wanted except actual, real cricket, anyway.
Didn't realise at the time but the last three matches were abandoned because the forecast was terrible and so South Africa went home having decided their poker and pontoon skills were perfectly honed and that their cricket skills could probably do with a bit of practice .

I had to Google it.
Weird, but thankfully not (as I half-feared) a game of cricket accompanied by Phil Collins.

Australia: Joe Burns, David Warner, Steve Smith (capt), George Bailey, Glenn Maxwell, Shane Watson, Mitch Marsh, Matthew Wade, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile.
Some serious mediocrity in there.

And in turn I had to google that. So many synthesisers.
Good to see the counties released the Irish players. Although in this instance I think only Wilson has a clash.

Showers forcast. Looks like the Duck will prolly decide this one...assuming they get a start.

My Dad got me a Subbuteo set when I was younger. He then proceeded to annihilate me for days on end. It turns out he had played a silly amount of Subbuteo as a kid and was basically a god.
I didn't like it.

When was the last time this fixture WASN'T affected by rain?
I honestly can't remember a single ODI that Ireland has hosted where rain didn't either wash the game out, or seriously reduce the amount of overs bowled.

They always get early or late season fixtures, only by a team that has been touring England. It's pretty low how little support they've gotten in comparison to Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Especially considering how markedly they've improved. England, unsurprisingly, are the most culpable.

The Umpires looked like they'd had one too many guinnesses. Some truly baffling decisions/non decisions in this game.

what was truly baffling was that there was clear sunshine for a period.
