Generally not allowed in international matches, afaik, to avoid similar situations. Quite a bit more relaxed in Ranji trophy matches where even ipads are allowed. Fat chance of that now.

For the second question, can always try the furriner solution. Although, hopefully a mild-ish version of the solution....
