Re: Merry Christmas thread 2015
Strted the day with several plonks, then over to Ms H place for presents and a half dozen oyster shooters with her daughters. We then nicked off for a a family lunch. I am on object interest as I have resurfaced in Ms Hs lifter over 3 decades.
We took the girls poached and chilled salmon, an aubergine pudding with saffron, roast veg, dips and summer pudding. Over 20 for lunch. Prawns, turkey and ham. Stacks of veg and salads. We ate outside at tables in the shade. Enjoyed the girls fish and Ms Hs summer pudding .consumed a most.enormous amounts of water - it is high 30s C - bbut continued with copious amounts of booze.. Feeling a bit untidy now. Also there is desk where stomach used to linger.

About the only food that is not good for me that I avoided was a huge plate of glistening asparagus spears. Tomorrow my feet will be in buckets of ice. Will be chewing anti inflammatories like a fat kid with a bag of lollies.

Aubergine pudding?
Any hoo - I've had 3 sessions in the last 24 hours finishing with the traditional family curry tonight (my mother's family is Indian).
Lots of bubbles and vino too. Add in a few grouse presents (new hybrid club. Apple TV 4, a few other bits and pieces), backyard cricket, some board games and it was a hella tops day all round.

Sounds good Mr K. Yum, homemade curries.
Yep aubergine pudding. Savoury dish with tomatoo sugo. Very old French dish

Socks. Boxers. Whiskey. Aftershave. Standard really. All good though - more pleased about giving than receiving nowadays. Nice day overall, much better than I'd hoped. Almost time to get on it, Xmas style. Hope it's been good for you all
Re: Merry Christmas thread 2015
Agree with BM re the pleasure of giving. That said I scored. A charter fishing trip, Spanish lessons, voucher for a new driver, books, shirts and plonk.

I concur. Because we do a huge KK, everyone buys and receives one significant present rather than the little bits and pieces of this and that.

We gave up giving gifts years ago. I get much more pleasure in playing host & putting on a great Christmas lunch.

We have never been really big on gifts. It always made more sense to give something when it is needed rather than wait for Christmas.

For what it's worth, the Apple TV 4 is awesome.
