Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
I predict the Libs will get smashed at the July 2 election
The Bolt side of the media hates Turnbull and writes negatively about him (especially when he brands them as the Turnbull Liberal Team)
The Leftard side of the media hate the Libs and write negatively about them
A lot of the reporting is opinion dressed as fact and the public cant be bothered to look very deep
The Turnbull DD strategy is awful ...No one gives a flying fark about building and construction union legislation which he used to call the election ...I havent even heard it mentioned in the campaign ...and he's called it at a time when they are level in the polls ...the ScoMo budget was Meh! for just before an election ...it did little for "budget repair" and had no election sweeteners for the battlers ...they should have extended the temporary budget repair levy for at least another year , probably 4, so the pinkos couldnt misrepresent the "tax cut for millionaires" which is actually a tax rise reversal
Turnbull and Rudd were/are both loved by the Q&A audience ...both were/are dithering farckwits as Prime Ministers
Shorten should change his name to Bradbury

Abbott is Bradbury. Shorten will have to be someone else.

Abbott at least promised to stop the boats and get rid of the mining and carbon tax ...which he did
Shorten is just not being Abbott or Turnbull ...no promises though

Shorten has promised to get rid of negative gearing and raise taxes on the wealthy. Without those promises he aint getting elected.
Abbott would have been elected anyway regardless of his promises (indeed, I reckon getting rid of the carbon tax was a slight negative for voters).

Promising Leftard class warfare is ALP election strategy number 1
Negative Gearing is a tricky thing to unpick ...smarter minds than the current pinko mathematicians have tried and failed
Raising the tax rate of the wealthy just means they get a better tax benefit from their tax minimisation strategies

my friend in Sydney whose hobby is identifying tax dodges will be busy advising shortpants if he gets in...which I strongly doubt.
The dble dissolution strategy was forced on Turnbull.

Actually with some of Shorten's team running off message already and Turnbull and his team unable to think of or deliver a message I think we're in for another hung parliament and possibly an unworkable one at that.
A second election before Xmas would not surprise me. And that's where my early money's going so JGK can vote for his brand of fruit loop and keep his money on the libs (or labor).

Not another hung parliament, not another election, please. Far too much wasted bandwidth.

I wonder how many Libs regret not voting for Abbott in the spill now?

Despite evrything I never thought Abbott was a chance at losing. Then came the QLD election. Though the first post dissolution polls suggest the ALP isn't doing well enough where it counts.

the big problem is the current coalition ideology and practice rather than the leader

Actually it's only the L part of thcoalition that's the problem. The N part may be the only thing that saves them. Bob holding his seat won't help though.

Doesn't go very hard on Shortarse's shortcomings but (in fact not at all). Typical Leftie Pinko tosh.
