Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
Expect Embee will find the DOD schedule...seems to be the one comp where they concentrate.
Speaking of the worsties they are likely to play more all rounders than members of Jenny Craig - the Stain, Hoss, Corporal and Mere for starters. One things for sure and that is the BNLG will be talking them all up for national selection.
So looking ahead what to make of the 17/18.
Can the Vix go the 4peat? Who will emerge as the challengers.
I think the Banjos and Tozzarians are on the improve with the former a real chance of knocking the Champs off.
I also see SA continuing to build on momentum.
I think the Worsties will battle the Dubbers for the spoon.
It should however be a tight season with little to separate 1st and last.
I can't wait.

Good to see the DOD games being shared around again. Finals to be held in Hobart in mid October might be a bit risky though.

The rumour is that Mitch Marsh will become the next Wozzie captain
I predict we will finish 8th in the Shield if this happens

You're probably more used to 9th, embee?

How many of those three games will the likely test team be available for? I say likely because the players who should be in the actual team will probably play all three.

probably 2, and then they will be sent on a pre-Ashes camp which clashes with the 3rd.

That is truly weird. Urrrkhh! Does this mean bnlg and Kjnr are really campaigning together for a yes vote? (not that there is anything wrong with that etc)
All jokes aside, given you barrack for the Tiggers and the FoLoG (Fruit of the Loins of the Gnome), you have the Boards sympathy.
Oz cricket needs all States to be competitive in the Shield. The Tozzies sacked Dan aint the Man and are rebuilding...faaarkk even the Billies and Barrels are competitive. The FoLoGs are becoming the Zimbots of the Shield.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
Good Zeus, that bnlg can still roll out the self serving crap -
"This is such an exciting stage of Western Australian cricket with two young guys leading the team. When we started out five years ago one of our objectives was to develop these guys to become great players, great leaders and great people.
“Guys like Mitch, with so much international experience at such a young age will be so beneficial to have leading the group. AT has had recent success too which is such a good sign of what’s to come from both of these amazing players."
Yep. Steak Knives has enjoyed a lot of international experience. I suppose that is true.
