he'll replace Boof when the Test team get Rooted by the Poms
His record in the Shield is poor. His parochial boosting of worriers such as the Marsh kiddies shows a chronic lack of judgment. Of course you're right. He will replace Boof and Oz cricket will reach a nadir.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
Tweet has been released from the test squad to play in the last three days of the shield game to give him some game time before the second test. Same with Maxwell apparently. As if CA hav'nt farked the Shield comp enough.

Wouldn't that strip the game of FC status?

Apparently the rules have been changed to allow for this. Happened a couple of time last season.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
It has been allowed since Michael Maranta replaced John Maguire in a Shield game back in the 80s.

Jake Doran finally hits his first Shield century. It has taken a while after the huge wraps on him when he was an Australian Under 19 star.

Jayzus, Travis Head's 80 was a standout in the Barrels woeful 141. Weatherald (23) was the only other to reach double figures.
God the Barrels are trash.
Tweety is keeping the Test incumbents on their toes. Well done him.

The NSP, not to mention the media, will conveniently overlook that fact.
