Frankly, I doubt it.

The difference between crap and competitive for Aus over the past few years has been Smith, Starc and Warner. All three are not in England, ergo we are crap.

A very strange wicket for the Oval …

Certainly Oz didn't make things easy for England to cross the line, although safe to say the result was never in doubt with plenty of overs still remaining.

Roy got a beaut 2nd ball but Buttler lost his head … he needs to get himself in before opening his shoulders - unlike T20.
Morgan and Root controlled things well as did plucky Plunkers and wily Willey at the end.

This series certainly isn't going to be a walk in the park for England.
