The tragic irony of him taking stacks of wickets and getting an England call up now that he’s bowling 81mph pies rather than the 90mph yorkers he used to bowl when he first started......

Bonkers game at New Road: Pears chase down 180 in less than 13 overs.
Oh, and a pair of Chuffs have been spotted on Herefordshire Beacon.

Belf ruled out for the season through injury. Along with Tresco, will this be the end for the class of 2005 as far as FC cricket goes?

Well Jimmy was in the squad for the Oval test when SiJo broke down before they decided to play safe and go with Colly........does that count?

It is hard to believe Jimmy played Test cricket in 2003, alongside Alec Stewart...

Kent bowled out for 40 today. And were still in a position to win for a while after that...

Ollie Robinson doing well under Jason Gillespie's watchful eye. Has he put on enough pace to be a serious contender for international honours? Not seen him on the speed gun, but to the naked eye he looks roughly about the same speed as Ropy Joland-Tones.

If he's put on pace to be as quick as T R-J, that would make as quick as Jack Shantry before.

Speaking of TRJ, he’s put a good run of games together and is in the wickets again. Bit of a forgotten man, but if he still has his ‘nip’, then reckon he could be back in England contention come the winter.

He would fodder overseas, if you want a young seamer for the winter, look no further than Saqib Mahmood. Decent pace and hits the top of the bat - Broad-esque.Henry wrote:Dello wrote:Ollie Robinson doing well under Jason Gillespie's watchful eye. It’s Yarpia and Snoozia this winter isn’t it, so perhaps the least alien conditions for English seamers as far as overseas tours go... but still, we want to identify players for the future rather than 30-year-old 80mph stopgaps who might get a bunch of wickets when it swings.

I read that as Sajid Mahmood for half a second.

Selecting him won't hurt England's batting.
But what a drop off its been. Was fantastic in the series against India.

It's been a prolonged agony with and for Hameed. I hope another county picks him up and can help to make him click again, as Lancs have failed to do.

Just don’t let him anywhere near Trent Bridge, the ruining school for promising English talent...PeterCS wrote:It's been a prolonged agony with and for Hameed. I hope another county picks him up and can help to make him click again, as Lancs have failed to do.
