Re: Rugby League 2021
If they do it the nags should start grooming future hookers right now, and hope Smith has one year of magic and mongrel left in him. Their record of one year deals for retiring vets or POM's with potential is attrocious.

Smith is a funny fella. Somewhere I read he satirically described the Nags as sending him a limo.
Hope it happens. The NRL just needs to appoint Trump as the Chief Thief and Impresario.

Drags flogged by Parramatta in a trial then Souths in the Charity Shield.
Looks like another long, fruitless year for Drags fans.

Has Wishart returned? Along with the Hancock's Half Hour flopping Tuna on the deck, Wishart remains my least favourite winger in my time watching this 'sport'.

I've got $200 on them for the Spoon.

Season starts in a week.
The Drags meet the Sharks in the local derby.
Will be the first of many Dragon losses this season.

Re: Rugby League 2021
Cameron Smith finally takes the spotlight off himself and announces his retirement from football.
Smith retires
"Future immortal Cameron Smith has finally announced his retirement, one day out from the start of the new NRL season.
Smith made the announcement in Melbourne on Wednesday, where a bronze statue of himself and fellow Storm legend Billy Slater was unveiled next to AAMI Park.
After months of not giving an answer on his future, Smith finally revealed he’d played his last game.
“I had a really good opportunity to think over my thoughts on playing on or not playing on,” Smith said on Wednesday. “I looked back on my career and thought I was very fortunate to be a part of a wonderful organisation."

Slater, Thurston, and Smith all gone now. Generational change in the Maroons is complete. What legends they were when teamed together.

Storm start the season like a house on fire and catch the Bunnies out big time.
22-6 at Oranges.

Game of 2 halves.
All Bunnies in the 2nd and they had the momentum and time to win it but they just made a few too many errors and the Storm hung on for a 26-18 win.

C'mon Mr K and Skully
I know you are woofing like crazy. As long as Rod Wishart has not replaced Mary, the Drags should be spared that indignity.
So excluding the woofing, who will finish lower - the Nags or Filth?

Re: Rugby League 2021
Nah h, I genuinely think the Drags are in for a shocker.
I will be most surprised and delighted if they make the top 8.
Sportsbet has the Drags at the bottom of all their ladder markets (win NRL, make GF, make top 8 etc).
But to answer your question I think the Nags will finish below the Filth.

Re: Rugby League 2021
I may have to reassess, h.
My God, how bad were the Slimeys in the 1st Half tonight? Who'd be a coach when you side makes error after error.
Nags up 16-0 at Oranges. Milford having a great game.

Re: Rugby League 2021
Another game of 2 separate halves.
Eels slayed em in the 2nd half. 24 unanswered points.
Marney and Paulo were immense for the Eels. Ferguson and Gutho pretty good as well.
