time to find someone other than Harris to open. not up to the task. 20s and 30s don't cut it.

someone needs to make a substantial score in the 2nd innings, or the target will be under par.

Pete I wasn’t commenting on what you said. Forumming from my phone so didn’t even see your comment until after I posted.

The much maligned Ooze (yes, as much by me as anyone) has had a stellar Test. He twice entered the arena when we were in trouble (3-117 & 3-68) and peeled off back-to-back tons.
Shirley he is now undroppable??

Billings completes a 500-mile drive from Brisbane to potentially become England’s cap number 700.

Now he takes the easy one, off the walking wicket, but as we're constantly reminded, it's the ones you miss that people judge on.
That's three missed just to his right already, one of which he didn't even go for.

More good bowling today by The Journeyman, but Cummins looks gunbarrel straight. Bring Green on.

Ashes series, or all Tests?skully wrote:Stat from Dickinfo...

Doubt he will be seen again for a while… although his recovery perhaps says something about him, the fact he slumped to the point he couldn’t average 10 in county cricket at one stage probably says even more. Maybe he will be a horses-for-courses opener in Asia alongside Keaton Jennings, and we’ll find a different pair for faster pitches. I think we need to start looking beyond supposed specialists, anyway (if only because we’ve tried them all!)

At least he averages a nice round 10, which beats Broad’s bunny GCS in England a couple of years ago…
Well played Crawley, anyway. Captain COARIAB needs to get off that pair.
