Surprised to see anderson again, he looked pretty knackered after the hammering at rajkot. thought they would rest him til Dharamasala. But england seem spooked by the pitch already. Seems quite a lot of grass on it still even if the groundstaff have been riding their mopeds all over it.

Poor morning but Root turns up finally and the under-rated bat of Robinson keeps us in the match, just about.

Foakes mistake after he batted so well opened up the tail, lucky india burned all their reviews when von yobbo was probably lbw on 8. Dharmasena didnt have a great day. If root had batted like that in the last 2 tests england might not be 2-1 down. Pitch certainly aids the new ball, think Bumrah might have liked bowling here, and Jadega got stokes with a shooter.

You don't tinker with the classics i.e Root & Bazball.
