Bairstow’s last Test? Is Stokes still an asset? Anderson - should he play here, should he be mothballed altogether or saved and brought back for a couple of testimonial matches in his favoured conditions? A Healy / Chanderpaul style farewell or allowed to finish on his own terms, like Warner?

Precisely. In fact I nearly mentioned Chinhead.

Apparently its going to be warmer in London according to the weather prediction i saw for dharamsala, possibly even some rain.
However Indias seamers are better than englands, and england dont do draws, so i expect another big win for india, whatever happens on the first 2 days.

Jasprit Bumrah ....a joy to watch
Poms dressed for the Russian winter waiting to bat ...WTF?
Collingwood and Trescothick back on the team list ....(nominated sub fielders) ...as Poms running out of fit players

I believe it’s quite cold there.
Certainly, it’s unusually cold further south in Delhi

I posted a few weeks ago at 1-1 that 4-1 looked right after we lost 3-1 last time around, having also won the opening game. It's almost as if India let England get a win on the board to keep the crowds and sponsors interested? Who knows, but Bet 365 had 15-2 for 4-1 after the opening test and i had a chunk of that. I didn't see a rain draw happening and i didn't see us taking 20 wickets again at a reasonable run cost. Ah well, where does this leave Bazzball in the opinion of you keen cricket fans? maybe it should be kept for roads and good non-turning pitches?

If Stokes can't bowl he doesn't get in my team for the next test series. Bairstow, although i rate him as an all-round, any format cricketer, is likely done i think and surely Anderson has had his day as well. Maybe the new Bazzball era of English test matches will be short-lived. Rated best and most exciting in the world one year and mediocre a year or two later.

For those (who wouldn’t actually) that enjoy left arm wrist spin or slow left arm unorthodox or whatever a chinaman is called these days, here’s a beauty by Yadav.
It’s so enjoyable to watch the guy. Video is halfway through the story.

I reckon the on field BazBall is ok, it is the off field BBall nonsense that is nauseating and the epitome of bad sportsmanship.

I don’t know why it’s called Bazball. It’s like Milburn, Walters, Gilchrist, and three generations of West Indian cricketers never existed.

Possibly because when England discovers something, it’s the first time ever it’s been discovered. Ever.

That is a common and hard-earned stereotype, yes.
They’ve still forgotten Milburn and Jessup though. ET Alletson and all.

NoHit and Chubby both have their tons.
This looks like a shellacking.
England will probably get their wish of batting last

Seems odd that Root has only bowled 3 overs here after shouldering a far heavier workload in the earlier games.
India to declare overnight or make England come out for an over or two first?

No no that was past England. Not current, this team England which is all the England that matters. So it’s really a first time discovery of Bazball.
But snark aside it was a hell of a run by a very talented team. Long may it continue - after this series is over.
