He has a son, who used to read the forum a a bit. About 8yrs old then, I think. Old enough to know there's something odd about the remark - and all the other s that followed - and maybe even understand it. Great thing for the kid to read.

What a pack of rabid hypocrites.
As usual , tails , you choose to speak for JC ...Did you get your reasons from JC or is it just what you thought the situation was ?

Did he have his computer confiscated? No ...so nothing really to worry about for him or his son from the original comment ....most of the comments have been so subtle that if his eight year old son can understand them then he is a ****** genius ...You should be happy to know it was YOUR whinging about the comment that has lead most people to continue on the joke ...JC has been smart enough to avoid responding directly to the comments ...
'JC has been smart enough'? JC hasn't been on this forum, so there hasn't been any of that crap. He hardly posted at all over the last year or so on C4 so there was virtually none of it there either. But when it was occuring there he said plenty, and someone - I assume him - was reporting the posts and having them removed. I said little publicly, just wrote off the people involved and, for a while, the forum as well.
No, I'm not speaking for Jon, I'm speaking for myself, but I can't help but put myself in his position when this sort of garbage comes up.

There are many reasons for objecting to that sort of garbage. Do you have any idea of how many people have endured that sort of abuse? What it does to them? The scars it leaves behind? Given the number of victims there are generally, the odds are that at least one forum member would be a victim. How do you suppose such a person would feel at having their suffering reduced to nothing more than a handy weapon for a pack of bullies to use against someone they don't like?
I've known too many victims - ******, even ONE is far too many - to be able to laugh it off, treat it as just a harmless joke.

You've asked people to draw the line at certain topics and remarks in the past, not often but a few times, yet you seem to think that you can say whatever you want with impunity - although you still insist on defending your and your mates' behaviour on this matter. Just how funny would it have been if, when VoR first mentioned his Mrs leaving him, I (or Jon) had popped up and asked if it was because she'd found out what he'd been doing to their daughter?

As with so many others here, racism is your one taboo. What is so special about race that it's the one uncrossable line, but any other excuse or subject for prejudice, insult, abuse and 'jokes' is acceptable?

OH, and feel free to add this to the 'Flounce' and 'Rant' threads if you wish.

Nice rant ...seems you need to add yourself to the list of hypocrites

So what proof do you have that Merlin is NFI?

Yet you accuse Merlin of all the offences that NFI committted....

What if Merlo has kids who read the forum?

I draw the line at making fun at ACTUAL "problems" (except RD's drought) ...Is JC a kiddy fiddler? ...Do any of the other people I abuse on the forum actually have the problems I claim? ...Not to my knowledge , but the "fun" is expanding on the claims ...

No it would not be funny to use one of VoR's personal problems to score points on the forum the same as I have ignored using your "dramas" against you...
