Actually, I think it's safe to say that if he'd had a shocking IPL performance wise, he wouldn't have been called up.

More like he has proved his fitness by playing in the IPL.

He could hardly buy a run in Aus domestic cricket last season. His batting looked very good in the IPL, but his bowling still looks like straight up and down 'hit me please' dross.

I will be interested to see how he goes bowling in the ODI competition.I think the pitches suited him in India.There was only one that had some life,the rest were sluggish.I have always thought that the ODIs is where Australia will really miss McGrath.Clark is not a good ODI bowler.
