i think that rating is a bit tough on casson...given he has had one test...tait too has only had a handful...ridiculous to rate any player until they have played 10+ tests

The 70's? Now that's a bit early.
I don't know anybody here who likes saffer blokes though.

I thought they didn't rank you until you'd played x times - that was why Huss went straight into the rankings at no 3.
It's a bit tough but nothing really matters about these rankings anyway. Nobody remembers whet Federer's ATP ranking was a month after he turned pro.

...true but i do remember federer as a relative easy beat and could see how with his game he should have been doing better...little was i to know he would become an extraordinairy champ

Casson did nothing to suggest he'll be anything but handy at best.

Interesting stats re Shiv:
With BCL - he averaged just over 43.
Without BCL - he is averaging about 70.
Maybe we should start calling him Stan.
McCabe with DGB - 41.3 (including his Trent Bridge masterpiece).
McCabe without DGB - 106.5

Only 2 points in it. A failure in the 1st Test v India will see him slip below Shiv.PearlJ wrote:How is Sanga top? He has probably been in the worst form out of the lot......

Just catching the presentation ceremony after the series finished.
If the organisation of the ceremony is any guide, the Windies did very well to make sure all 11 of their players turned up at the same venue to play. Tony Cozier who was MC must have felt like an A-grade clot. What a total bloody shambles! I hope they're not thinking of holding a World Cup or anything there soon....

Now Nerky, this is the same mob that couldn't get the venetian blinds that formed the sightscreen down for 15 minutes at the start of the Test. FFS.Fred Nerk wrote:Just catching the presentation ceremony after the series finished.

I finally got an answer on whether the fielding coach was with the Aussies.Apparently not.

While fielding coach Mike Young recently arrived before the looming one-day series
Explains a lot.

I think both Lara and Shiv did worse in each others company, than apart, although that is a limited sample in Lara's case, especially
